Men's Basketball Hosts Boston University Monday Night

BOSTON -- The 106th season of Northeastern basketball kicks off Monday night when the Huskies host crosstown rival Boston University. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. on NESN and FloCollege in Northeastern's penultimate game at Matthews Arena.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. THE SERIES WITH BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Northeastern and Boston University are meeting for the 153rd time in series history, with the Huskies holding a slight 77-75 edge in the all-time series. Northeastern has won four of the last five and eight of the last 11 meetings between the two teams, including five of the last six meetings at Matthews Arena.

In last season's meeting at Case Gym, LA Pratt made his Huskies debut in style, going for 24 points, then a career-high to lead Northeastern past the Terriers, 80-72. Pratt finished the night 9-of-13 from the field and 4-of-8 from deep to lead four players in double figures, including 14 points and five steals from William Kermoury.

2. HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN
Since the 2014-15 season, the Huskies are 30-8 (.789) at home against non-conference opponents, including a 3-1 mark last season. Under head coach Bill Coen, the Huskies are 15-4 (.789) in home openers, including wins in four of the last six seasons.

3. PRATT COLLECTS ALL-CAA PRESEASON HONORS
LA Pratt was named to the All-CAA Preseason Second Team at the conference's annual Media Day in October. Pratt, the Huskies' leading returning scorer, rebounder and assist man from a year ago, played in 31 games during his first season on Huntington Avenue in 2024-25 finishing fourth on the team in scoring (11.2), third in minutes (31.2) and shooting 43% overall (141-of-328). He reached double figures 15 times, including five 20+ point nights, was third on the team in assists (76) and second in steals (42).
