No. 8 Northeastern Travels To Maine

BOSTON— For the second time this season, the No. 8 Northeastern women's hockey team is hitting the road for a two-game series. The Huskies will face Maine for two games beginning on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m., game two is slated for a 4 p.m. puck drop on Saturday, Nov. 22. Both games will stream on ESPN+.
 
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. COOKING WITH GAS: Northeastern sits at the top of the Hockey East standings with a 7-0-0 record. The seven wins mark the most wins by a Northeastern team to start league play in program history.
  2. LIGHTNING STRYKES: Freshman Stryker Zablocki, the reigning Hockey East rookie of the week, potted the first hat trick by a Northeastern freshman since Kendall Coyne in the 2011-12 season. Zablocki has 13 points on the season, the 11th-best mark in the NCAA among freshmen.
  3. (BLACK) BEARS. BEETS. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: Northeastern will be looking for its first win in Orono since Oct. 21, 2022. The Huskies have not won back-to-back games at Maine since the 2012-13 season. Sophomore Lisa Jönsson started all three games against Maine last season with a 2-1-0 record. She posted a .978 save percentage, .68 GAA and one shutout. Senior Lily Shannon posted two goals last season against Maine to lead all Huskies. The Black Bears' leading scorer is Isabella Michaud who has posted seven points. Kiia Lahtinen has played all 13 games for Maine, she owns a 2.51 GAA and .923 save percentage.
The Huskies will next host No. 6 Penn State for a two-game series beginning on Friday, Nov. 28 at 3:30 p.m. in Matthews Arena.
