No. 7 Women’s Hockey Hosts New Hampshire

BOSTON— The No. 7 Northeastern women's hockey team is set to host the New Hampshire Wildcats for its penultimate game in Matthews Arena on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Northeastern women's hockey legend and New Hampshire head coach, Hilary Witt, will be dropping the puck as the Huskies continue to celebrate their final season in Historic Matthews Arena.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. A DECEMBER TO REMEMBER: The Huskies have not lost a game in the month of December since the 2020-21 season. NU is on a six-game winning streak in the month, dating back to the 2021-22 season.
  2. TOP OF THE TABLE: Northeastern sits at the top of the Hockey East standings with a 9-0-0 record. The nine wins mark the most wins by a Northeastern team to start league play in program history.
  3. DAWGS VS. CATS: Northeastern enters this matchup after splitting a non-conference series with No. 4 Penn State, while UNH just defeated No. 11 Brown, 4-1. The Huskies took the Hockey East series last season, 2-1. NU will be searching for its first win against the Wildcats in Matthews Arena since a 4-1 victory on March 6, 2024 in the Hockey East Semifinals. Éloïse Caron led all Huskies against UNH last season with three points off two goals and one assist. Lisa Jönsson posted a 17-save shutout in her lone game against the Wildcats. Nina Rossi and Alyson Hush lead New Hampshire with 14 points, while Kelly Harty has a team-high seven goals. Sedona Blair and Noemi Martinez have split time in goal this year. Blair owns a 2.18 GAA and .925 save percentage, while Martinez has a 2.01 GAA and .925 save percentage.
The Huskies will close out 2025 with a two-game series against Boston College, beginning on the road on Friday, Dec. 5 at 6 p.m. NU will then host BC for its final game in Matthews Arena on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1:30 p.m.
