BOSTON - Northeastern University track & field closed out its full first weekend of competition at the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the BU Track & Tennis Center, with Huskies competing across distance events.
- Freshman Iolo Grant qualified for the finals of the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.94 seconds in the preliminaries before finishing fourth overall in the finals at 6.98 seconds.
- The Huskies placed two athletes in the men's 800 meters, as freshman James Ciaccio finished second in his heat with a time of 1:52.99 and sophomore Ajay Raina placed third at 1:53.80.
- Sophomore Ryan Leslie competed in the men's 3000-meter run, finishing with a time of 8:28.04.
- Competing in the highly competitive men's 5000-meter run, junior Ryan Sarney crossed the line in 14:25.13.
- Sophomore Nico Boyle rounded out the Northeastern contingent with a time of 14:37.59 in the men's 5000 meters.
The Huskies will continue their indoor season in the new year on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Harvard Beantown Challenge Invitational.
