The Huskies got 15 points each from the duo of

Collin Metcalf and
JB Frankel, but were unable to overcome a second-half surge from the Phoenix to put it away. Of King's 15, 13 came in the second half, going 7-for-7 at the free throw line late in the contest to try and keep pace. Kermoury's second game in a row back in the lineup included a 19-minute effort off the bench with four three-pointers, along with a steal and two boards. Metcalf chipped in with five rebounds and two blocks, while Frankel also hit a pair of three's and collected four rebounds.

Northeastern only attempted 25 shots in the first, contrasted to Elon's 33, but outshot the Phoenix in percentage, 44% to 33%. The Huskies held a lead as high as seven points late in the half thanks to a stretch of constant turnovers from the home team, resulting in 11 Husky points off of them. The Phoenix stormed back to take a late lead, 28-26 with 49 seconds left, but a clutch bucket by
Rashad King tied the game with 27 seconds to go – the ensuing defensive possession the Huskies halted Elon to go to the locker room at a stalemate.
The game got away from the Huskies in the second – after both sides had trouble scoring to begin the period, Elon found its stride and fired off an 8-0 run on three straight buckets, and were able to stave off Northeastern for the remainder of the contest. The Huskies tried to keep pace with Kermoury's hot three-point shooting (3-for-4 from deep in the second), but the Phoenix ultimately outshot the Huskies to claim the victory, firing at a 54% rate (12-for-22) in the final 20 minutes to NU's 34% (10-for-29). Northeastern had one last gasp with a 7-0 run thanks to a full court press generating pressure and forcing tough looks for Elon, but the Phoenix put the game away at the free throw line.

th against Hofstra, before returning home for four straight home games. Thursday's game tips off at 7 p.m. on FloCollege and MSG Network.
