Rashad King Named CAA Co-Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. - Northeastern University's Rashad King has earned CAA weekly honors for the second time this season, being named the CAA Co-Player of the Week after dropping 60 total points in two league games this past week at Hofstra and vs. Hampton.

King broke his career high in points twice last weekend, scoring 28 points at Hofstra in a big road victory over the Pride, and surpassing that total with a 32-point performance at home against Hampton on Saturday. It was the first 30-point performance by a Husky since January of 2023.

In those two games, King also averaged 5.5 rebounds per game, totaled four assists, blocked one shot, and was a near perfect 24-25 from the free-throw line, notching a career-high 12 FTs in both games. He shot 54% overall from the field (18-for-33) on the week.

Rashad is now up to a 17.8 points per game average, which is fourth in the CAA. He continues to lead the CAA in minutes per game at 36:07 per game, and is also fourth in the league in total assists (88).

King and the Huskies are home for both CAA games this week, hosting Campbell on Thursday evening at 7 p.m. on NESN, and Stony Brook on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. Both games will also stream on FloCollege.
