BOSTON – The Northeastern women's basketball team heads to Virginia for a pair of games this weekend against two CAA opponents. The Huskies will square up against William & Mary on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. before facing Hampton on March 2 and 2 p.m. Both games can be streamed on FloCollege.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
1. A-LIST ALYSSA – Freshman center
Alyssa Staten leads the CAA with 9.9 rebounds per game in conference matches. Staten reached her career-high and the Huskies team high with 14 rebounds on Jan. 5 at Drexel. She has logged 10+ rebounds in nine out of 14 conference games. Staten has posted two double-doubles this season, most recently tallying a season-high 15 points and 10 rebounds against Towson.Â
2. VS. WILLIAM & MARY – Northeastern and William & Mary are set to meet for the second time is season after the Tribe won, 74-66, at the Cabot Center on Jan. 19.
Abby Jegede led all Huskies with 24 points, while Natalie Larrañaga and Yirsy Quéliz each reached double-digit scoring for the Huskies with 12 and 11 points, respectively. The Tribe are on a four-game losing streak, most recently dropping games to NC A&T and Charleston.Â
3. VS. HAMPTON – Since the Pirates joined the CAA ahead of the 2022-23 season, Northeastern leads Hampton all-time 3-0, outscoring them 215-173. The Huskies last saw the Pirates during the 2023-24 season with NU coming out on top, 64-60. In the victory, Yirsy Quéliz finished the contest with six points, six rebounds, eight assists and four steals.
The following weekend, Northeastern will celebrate it's graduating class on Thurs., March 6 before their game against Elon.
