Huskies Complete Day One Of Boston Winter Open

BOSTON – The Northeastern University women's swim team began a weekend of competition at the Boston Winter Open hosted by Boston University on Friday, February 7th.
  • Senior Devon Muldoon had NU's top finish of day one, taking sixth in the 500 yard freestyle with a mark of 5:06.78. She was followed by grad. student Caroline Mahoney in eighth with a time of 5:10.61, and freshman Peyton Knightly in 10th finishing in 5:11.30.
  • A duo of Huskies competed in the 200 IM: sophomore Mary Nordmann posted a time of 2:13.50, and senior Daphne Peterson touched the wall in 2:19.47.
  • In the 50 free, senior Angela Woronko led all Huskies, swimming a 24.38. Senior Francesca Arciniegas (24.58) and sophomore Bella Busconi (25.92) added personal bests in the event as well.
The Huskies continue the weekend with two meets on Saturday, February 8th - the swimming squad competes in a second day of action at the Boston Winter Open, while the dive team simultaneously hosts the Northeastern Diving Invitational at Barletta Natatorium beginning at 12 p.m.
