Northeastern Faces No. 1 Boston College In Hockey East Quarterfinals

BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team heads to Conte Forum this Saturday, March 15 to take on the No1 Boston College Eagles in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. The game is set for a 7:30 p.m. puckdrop on NESN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. FOR THR FOURTH TIME: This marks the fourth time the two programs will face off this season and Saturday's game with be the 256th match up all-time. In the last ten outings, NU and BC have each on four games in addition to two tied contests, including match ups in the 2025 Beanpot and 2022 Hockey East Quarterfinals.
  2. OPENING ROUND THRILLS: The last time out, the Huskies defeated Merrimack in a double overtime thriller, 3-2, on Wednesday night in the Hockey East Opening Round. Senior Cristophe Tellier opened scoring in the second period for a 1-0 lead. After two goals from MC, junior Jack Williams buried the game-tying goal in the third period. Just 4:39 into the second overtime period, sophomore Dylan Hryckowian scored the game-winning goal to advance NU to the quarterfinals.
  3. DEFENSIVE THREATS: The junior defensive duo of Vinny Borgesi and Jackson Dorrington lead all NU blueliners in scoring this season. Borgesi leads all defensemen with 21 points from five goals (tied for career high) and 16 assists, while adding 46 blocks. Dorrington leads the team with 68 blocks this season in addition to his career-high 14 points from two goals and a career-high 12 assists. The assistant captains most recently collected the assists on NU's double OT, game-winning goal against Merrimack.
