Four All-Time Marks Set On Day One Of UCF Black & Gold Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Northeastern track and field team brought the heat to the UCF Gold & Black Invitational Friday, setting four new All-Time outdoor marks to commence the outdoor season.

FIELD EVENTS

  • Graduate student Nicholas Pisciotta tossed his hammer 60.38m for fifth place in the hammer throw, and senior Tremain Robinson recorded a new personal best after reaching 57.94m, finishing eighth.
  • Graduate student Kevin Fairchild opened his Husky career with a sixth-place finish in the javelin throw, reaching 59.89m.

TRACK EVENTS

  • Freshman Sloan Hinton earned 14th in the women's 400m hurdles, crossing the line at 1:02.37. Her mark is the tenth fastest time on the All-Time Outdoor Performance List.
  • Sophomore Brunner Williams sprinted to 12th place in the men's 200m, clocking a 21.23, the seventh fastest time in outdoor history. Senior Ethan Exilhomme recorded a 21.50 for 23rd in his first race of the year, and sophomore Alex Landry (21.82) and graduate student Noah Sweeney (22.36) followed behind.
  • In the women's 200m, sophomore Savannah Blair led all Huskies, finishing 22nd with the eighth fastest time on the All-Time Outdoor Performance List, a 24.22. Junior Ariann Robinson tied the ninth-fastest time in outdoor history with a 24.51 for 36th, and sophomore Victoria Knight clocked a 25.14 for 68th.

The Huskies take on the second and final day of the UCF Gold & Black Invitational tomorrow, starting at 10:00 a.m.
