BROOKLINE, Mass. - The Northeastern University baseball team (14-8, 2-1 CAA) secured a 6-2 victory over Towson (8-17, 1-2 CAA) on Sunday afternoon at Friedman Diamond, winning the weekend series. The Northeastern offense once again took a few innings to get going, but exploded in the sixth inning for five runs to head into the final innings with a comfortable lead.

- In the fourth, the Huskies struck first after a walk to Cam Maldonado, advanced to third on a double to right center by Jack Goodman, and scored on a Ryan Gerety RBI bunt.
- The Huskies extended their lead in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring five runs on five hits.
- Carmelo Musacchia singled to left field to start the inning, and Maldonado then doubled down the right field line, scoring Musacchia all the way from first base.
- Gerety followed with a single down the right field line, driving in Maldonado for the third NU run.
- Feinberg singled through the left side, bringing home both Gerety and Goodman, who had walked and stole second.
- Gregory Bozzo hit a single to the shortstop, scoring Feinberg who stole second and third prior to the hit.
- Towson tallied two runs in the ninth, one earned, to spoil the shutout and give the final score of 6-2.
- Jordan Gottesman earned the win for Northeastern, pitching 6.0 innings and allowing one hit and no earned runs while striking out seven Towson batters. His record on the season improved to 2-1. It was his second straight start pitching six innings and tallying seven strikeouts, both of which were season-highs.
- Jack Bowery recorded the three-inning save for Northeastern, pitching allowing just three hits and one earned run, with three strikeouts. It was his third save as a Husky, the fourth of his career.
- Northeastern improves to 2-1 in CAA play, and are one of five teams in the conference to win their weekend series 2-1.Â
