Northeastern Battles At Texas and Raleigh Relays

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Nicole Dunbury crushed her personal best time in the 1500m by nearly 13 seconds as the Northeastern track and field team competed in the Texas and Raleigh Relays from Thursday, March 27, to Saturday, March 29.
 
TEXAS RELAYS
  • Graduate student Cameron Rodgers opened his outdoor season with the 400m hurdles Thursday evening. He finished 24th overall with a time of 53.33.
  • Senior Ethan Exilhomme just missed out on qualifying for Sunday's 110m hurdle final, finishing 10th at 13.81 in Friday's prelim. Rodgers raced in the 110m hurdle timed final, recording a 15.02 for 36th later that afternoon.
RALEIGH RELAYS
  • Freshman Nico Boyle and sophomore Ryan Sarney were the lone Huskies to compete Thursday evening. Boyle took on the 5000m, crossing the line at 14:40.52 for a top 200 finish, while Sarney raced in the 10000m and finished with a time of 30:55.47.
  • Dunbury led the charge Friday afternoon in the 1500m, winning her section and finishing 55th overall after running a 4.23.37. Her new personal best ranks third on the All-Time Outdoor Performance List. Graduate student Lena Lebrun also competed, finishing at 4:39.14 for a top 200 finish.
  • Junior Conall Rogers rounded out the weekend action for Northeastern in the 800m Saturday afternoon, finishing in the top 150 with a time of 1:56.02.
Next up, the Huskies return south for the Florida Relays, taking place April 4-5, and the UConn Dog Fight, beginning April 5.
