BROOKLINE, Mass. -- The Northeastern Huskies (25-9, 10-2 CAA) completed a weekend sweep of the Hofstra Pride (12-24, 3-9 CAA) with a 4-0 shutout victory on Sunday afternoon at Friedman Diamond.

Jordan Gottesman delivered a masterful performance on the mound, tossing seven shutout innings while striking out nine batters to earn his fourth win of the season. The Huskies' offense was efficient, scoring four runs on just four hits, including a solo home run from
Matt Brinker, his second in as many games.
- After two scoreless innings to start the game, Northeastern broke through in the third when Matt Brinker connected on a 1-2 pitch for a solo home run to left center, his second of the weekend, giving the Huskies a 1-0 lead.
- The Huskies added three more runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 4-0. Cam Maldonado started the rally with a single through the left side and Harrison Feinberg drew a walk.
- After Maldonado stole third, Carmelo Musacchia delivered an RBI single through the left side, scoring Maldonado and advancing Feinberg to second.
- The Huskies then executed a double steal with Musacchia taking second and Feinberg swiping third base.
- Will Fosberg drew a walk to load the bases, and during his at-bat, a wild pitch allowed Feinberg to score, making it 3-0.
- Gregory Bozzo then hit a sacrifice fly to right field, bringing home Musacchia for the 4-0 lead.
- Gottesman was dominant on the mound, scattering six hits over seven innings while striking out nine Hofstra batters and not allowing a walk.
- Senior Jack Bowery worked the eighth inning, allowing two hits and a walk, but kept the Pride off the scoreboard.
- With two runners in scoring position, Brett Dunham took over in the ninth and closed out the inning with a perfect frame. He got a double play from left fielder Harrison Feinberg who caught a fly ball and threw out the runner trying to take home, and a ground out to Jack Goodman to secure Northeastern's ninth shutout of the season, which continues to lead the nation.
- The Huskies were active on the base paths, stealing four bases in the game. Cam Maldonado, Harrison Feinberg, Carmelo Musacchia, and Will Fosberg each recorded a stolen base.
- Cam Maldonado led the offense with a 2-for-4 performance at the plate, and a run scored.
- Despite getting outhit, the Huskies defense turned two double plays, three including the fly out/throw out, to help thwart Hofstra scoring opportunities, stranding seven Hofstra runners.
The Huskies will next host Kansas State in non-conference action at Friedman Diamond on Tuesday, April 15, with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m. on NESN+. The two teams will face off again in a second game on Wednesday, April 16.
