BROOKLINE, Mass. -- The Northeastern Huskies (36-9, 18-2 CAA) continued their dominant play with a convincing 10-2 victory over the Delaware Blue Hens (25-20, 10-10 CAA) on Saturday afternoon at Friedman Diamond.

- Northeastern jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Cam Maldonado drove in Ryan Gerety with an RBI double and Jack Doyle followed with an RBI single to make it 2-0.
- The Huskies added to their lead in the fourth when Matt Brinker doubled home Carmelo Musacchia, who had reached on a Delaware throwing error, extending the advantage to 3-0.

- The Huskies responded immediately in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs highlighted by Alex Lane's bases-clearing double that drove in Maldonado, Harrison Feinberg, and Justin Bosland for a 6-1 lead.
- After the Blue Hens plated another run in the seventh to make it 6-2, Northeastern put the game away with three more runs in their half of the inning, powered by Maldonado's RBI single and a combination of walks and wild pitches.
- In all four innings that Delaware has scored in during this series so far, Northeastern has answered to match or exceed Delaware's run total in that inning, preventing any shutdown innings from the Blue Hens on defense.
- Maldonado capped the scoring in the eighth inning with a solo home run down the left field line, his 12th of the season.
- The junior center fielder finished with a team-best 3-for-4 day at the plate, adding a double, home run, three RBIs, and three runs scored.
- The win extended Northeastern's home record to an impressive 17-1 this season and gave the Huskies their 15th consecutive victory and seventh consecutive CAA series win.
