RICHMOND, Va.—Alex Mega of the Northeastern Field Hockey team earned 2025 Preseason All-CAA Team honors as announced by the league on Thursday.
A standout on and off the field, Mega adds another strong season to her Huskies career. A two-time CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll honoree (2023, 2024) and 2023 CAA All-Rookie Team selection, Mega delivered five goals and four assists during the 2024 campaign. She ranked second on the team in both shots (29) and shots on goal (20). Mega appeared in all 19 games with 11 starts, highlighted by a three-game point streak from Sept. 1–6. The Rhode Island native also set a new career high with 728 minutes played during the 2024 season, underscoring her reliability and impact for the Huskies. The newly named Junior captain looks to lead Northeastern to a successful 2025 season.
