ORONO, Maine.— The Northeastern field hockey team (4-2) took part in a battle at Maine where they became victorious in overtime 2-1, with an unassisted shot from
Anna-Kate Domingue.
- The Huskies struck first in the second period when Camille Armaganian scored on a penalty stroke, her second goal of the season, both coming from strokes.
- Maine tied the game less than 10 minutes later in the period.
- At the end of the third, goalkeeper Arabella Loveridge made two big saves in the same sequence to keep the game tied.
- The score remained 1-1 through regulation, sending the teams into overtime.
- With six minutes left in the extra period, Domingue made a defensive stop, carried the ball to the opponent's side and fired a shot into the net to seal the win.
Northeastern will next return home to Dedham Field to host Harvard on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 12 p.m.
