Huskies Travel To Harvard Tuesday

BOSTON -- The Northeastern University men's soccer team (2-4-1) returns to action as it wraps up a stretch of four straight road games, traveling to cross-town rival Harvard (3-1-1) on Tuesday evening, September 23rd. Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m. on ESPN+.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. DERBY DAY: For just the first time since 2022, the Huskies will play all three of their DI Boston-based opponents this season – after already facing off against Boston College, the Huskies travel to Harvard and Boston University (Oct. 14) in 2025. Northeastern is unbeaten in its last five meetings with Harvard (2017, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) with a 3-0-2 record in that stretch.
  2. SCOUTING REPORT: The Crimson have played just five games so far this season, but are unbeaten since their season opening 1-0 loss at home to Belmont, with wins over Providence, Cal, and New Hampshire, and a 1-1 draw with UConn. Harvard is averaging 1.4 goals per game while allowing 0.6, and begin Ivy League play in its next game coming up on Saturday against Princeton.
  3. A LOOK AHEAD: The Huskies return home after a four straight contests on the road this Saturday, September 27th at 1 p.m. for a CAA match with Stony Brook. A chance for Northeastern to build on its last CAA outing, a road victory over Monmouth, the game will serve as the team's annual Alumni Day and Malia's Game, honoring the life of Malia Jusczyk, an advocate for childhood cancer awareness, and daughter of Huskies men's soccer alum Glen Jusczyk.
