- SCOUTING REPORT: The Huskies face the Seawolves for the first game of their two-game season series. Stony Brook is still searching for its first CAA win of the season, but is coming off a 4-0 midweek home victory over Farmingdale State this past Monday. NU holds a 7-3-2 record in the all-time series with SBU, with a 2-1-2 record in the last five. Their meeting in 2022 was the first match between the two programs in nearly 10 years.
- POINTS ON THE LINE: Northeastern enters the weekend three points behind the North division's automatic playoff bids, with Drexel and Hofstra currently tied at six points for the second-place spot. Monmouth, which Northeastern beat in its last conference match, sits atop the standings with seven points, while the other four teams each have a game in hand.
- MORE THAN A GAME: Saturday's game will serve as Northeastern Men's Soccer's Alumni Day and Malia's Game. In 2023, the Huskies hosted 'Malia's Game' for the first time to honor the life of Malia Jusczyk, daughter of former Husky Glen Jusczyk, helping raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research.
