Northeastern Completes Day One Of Tate Ramsden Invitational

Hanover, N.H. – The Northeastern swim and dive team (4-1) wrapped up the first day of the Tate Ramsden Invitational against Dartmouth and UMass.
  • Freshman Abigail Gowern secured a third-place finish in the 500 Free finals, touching in 5:02.02 to lead the Huskies' distance efforts against a strong field.
  • In the 200 IM, freshman Alex Campion earned a fourth place finish, touching the wall at 2:07.84.
  • In the 50 Free finals, freshman Alex Fuller sprinted to a second-place finish with a time of 23.50, earning Northeastern's highest individual placement of the meet.
  • The Huskies' 200 Free Relay team of Alex Fuller, Anna Verlander, Kate Kerber and Kotoko Blair combined for a second place showing in 1:35.36, finishing as the top Northeastern relay performance of the day.
  • At the conclusion of day one, Northeastern holds a 60–33 lead over UMass and trails Dartmouth 75–19. 
The Huskies will compete in the second and final day of the meet, starting tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Karl Michael and Spaulding Pool.
