Huskies Set For Single Contest At UMass

BOSTON, Mass. — The Northeastern men's hockey team makes a single trip to Amherst for a Friday night matchup against UMass on Jan. 30, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. at Mullins Center. This marks the fourth meeting between the two programs this season, with NU leading the season series 2-1 overall and 2-0 in Hockey East play.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. MULLINS MATCHUP: The Huskies have won their last two contests at Mullins Center. During the 2024-25 campaign, on Jan. 11, 2025, Northeastern blanked UMass 3-0 behind a three-point performance from Dylan Hryckowian (1g, 2a). Earlier in the season on Oct. 17, 2025, NU claimed a 4-2 victory that saw nine different skaters record a point and four unique goal scorers, including freshman Giacomo Martino who netted his first collegiate game-winning goal.
  2. HOT HAND ERDMAN: Sophomore Griffin Erdman has found his stride in recent weeks, collecting four points (3g, 1a) over his last four games. The Wilmington, Del. native recorded his first career multi-goal weekend in Northeastern's sweep of New Hampshire, opening the series with the game-winning tally at Whittemore Center on Friday, Jan. 16. Erdman has made a significant jump from his freshman to sophomore campaign. After posting three points (1g, 2a) as a rookie, the 5-10 forward has tallied ten points from 5 goals and five assists this season.
  3. BLUELINE VETS: NU's senior class, comprised entirely of defensemen, has played a pivotal leadership role with the quartet combining for 30 of the blue line's 39 points. Captain Vinny Borgesi leads all Northeastern defensemen in goals (4), assists (12) and points (16), while Dylan Finlay has added eight assists, Austen May has tallied five points (2g, 3a) and Joaquim Lemay has contributed one assist.
