BOSTON— The No. 6 Northeastern Huskies are set to open the new year with a non-conference match up at No. 14 Yale on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 6 p.m. The game will stream live on ESPN+.

- NOTHING LIL(Y) ABOUT SHAN: Senior captain Lily Shannon has posted a team-high 29 points, which leads all Hockey East players and is tied for the eighth-best mark in the country. She is averaging 1.53 points per game, the ninth-best mark in the nation and tops among all Hockey East players. The Huskies are 50-6-1 overall when Shannon records a point in a game.
- MAMMA MIA THAT'S A LOT OF HUSKIES: Northeastern will be well represented at the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics, with the United States and France already announcing their rosters. Four former players including Kendall Coyne Schofield, Hayley Scamurra, Aerin Frankel and Gwyneth Philips will represent Team USA. Additionally, assistant coach Melissa Piacentini will serve as Team USA's video coach. Chloé Aurard is set to head to her first Olympics, representing France.
- BATTLE FOR TOP DOG: For the fourth-straight season, Yale and Northeastern are set to clash with NU riding a five-game win streak against the Bulldogs. The Huskies defeated Yale 4-1 in the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2023, 2-1 in overtime at Ingalls in 2024 and 4-3 in 2025. In three career games against Yale, Jules Constantinople has scored three goals against the Bulldogs. With two of those goals coming on the power-play. Yale is riding a three-game win streak and won its first two games of 2026. The Bulldogs are 7-2-0 at home this season. Carina DiAntonio leads all Bulldogs with 26 points, her 14 goals rank tied with Lily Shannon for the seventh-best mark in the NCAA. Three goaltenders have seen time for Yale, with Anna Phillips playing in 11 games owning a .918 save percentage and 2.00 GAA.Â
Northeastern will next return to Hockey East play, traveling to Providence on Friday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m.
