BOSTON – William & Mary (16-9, 7-6) put three players in double figures and hit 12 threes en route to a 94-67 victory over the Northeastern men's basketball team (6-18, 2-11) on Thursday night at the Cabot Center.

The Tribe had 27 assists on 35 made baskets, finishing 55% from the field and 55% from long range on the night. Cade Haskins led the way with 17 points for William & Mary, which also received 42 points from its bench.

Xavier Abreu was a bright spot for Northeastern, finishing with a game-high 24 points on 10-of-21 from the floor.
Ryan Williams (15 points) also finished in double digits for the Huskies, who concluded the night 26-of-62 overall and 8-of-30 from deep.

The Tribe took control of the game early, shooting 50% from the floor and leading by 11 at the break. William & Mary got 12 points from Haskins and bolted out to an early 10-2 lead to set the tone for the half.

Abreu kept the Huskies within striking distance, going for 17 on his own on 7-of-13 from the floor as Northeastern clawed its way back into it. He did his damage midway through the half, scoring 17 of Northeastern's 19 team points in a span of 7:20. As a team, NU was 14-of-30 from the floor and 5-of-16 from deep in the half.

The Huskies came out hot to start the second half, opening on an 11-2 run to cut the deficit to two at the Under-16, 47-45.

William & Mary would respond, though, using a 17-4 run over 4:33 to regain its double-digit advantage at the Under-8, a lead it would maintain the rest of the way.

The Huskies will be back in action next Thursday when Northeastern hosts Drexel at the Cabot Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on NESN and FloCollege.
