No. 5 Women’s Hockey Takes On BU, BC

BOSTON— The recently crowned Hockey East Regular Season Champion No. 5 Northeastern women's hockey team is set to take on Boston University at Walter Brown Arena on Friday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. The Huskies will then host Boston College at Bentley Arena on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 3:30 p.m. Both games will stream live on ESPN+ and admission is free on Sunday.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. TROPHY SZN: Northeastern officially clinched the Hockey East Regular Season Title after defeating Vermont last Saturday, 3-2 in overtime, with four games left to play in Hockey East. This marks NU's first Regular Season Crown since the 2022-23 season and secures the Huskies a No. 1 seed in the Hockey East Tournament.
  2. BIG DAWGS GOTTA EAT: NU and BU are set to meet for the fourth time this season. Northeastern won both Hockey East matchups, 3-1 and 7-3, while the Terriers won the most recent meeting in the Beanpot Semifinal, 2-1 in overtime. The Terriers enter this game on a two-game skid. In the three previous meetings, senior Kristina Allard leads all players with five points and four assists, while senior Lily Shannon leads all players with three goals. Clara Yuhn leads the Terriers with two goals against NU. Yuhn sits second on the Terriers with 16 points, Sydney Healey leads all BU players with 24 points.
  3. BIRDS AREN'T REAL: The Huskies own a 3-0-0 record against the Eagles this season, with freshman Stryker Zablocki leading the way with five points. Sophomore Lisa Jönsson posted all three wins with a .935 save percentage and 1.67 GAA. The Eagles will face Providence on Friday before taking on NU. Ava Thomas leads BC and all of Hockey East with 41 points. In goal, Grace Campbell owns a 12-16-2 record with a 2.90 GAA and .923 save percentage. Campbell made a career-high 54 saves in the last meeting between BC and NU in the Beanpot third-place game.
Northeastern will next travel to No. 6 UConn on Friday, Feb. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
