Huskies Set For Drexel, Hofstra This Week In Cabot

BOSTON – The Northeastern men's basketball team continues its homestand with a pair of games this week in the Cabot Center, beginning on Thursday night against Drexel (7 p.m.). The Huskies will then host Hofstra on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Both games will be aired on FloCollege and NESN networks.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW

1. SERIES HISTORY AGAINST THIS WEEKEND'S OPPONENTS

Northeastern and Drexel will be meeting for the 76th time, with the Dragons holding a 46-29 advantage in the series. Drexel earned an 83-78 victory in Philadelphia earlier this season despite 19 points from Xavier Abreu. In that game, Northeastern trimmed a 17-point deficit down to three points in the final minute before running out of time as Drexel escaped with the win. Northeastern, which shot 47% overall in the game, hit seven of their final nine shots to fight back into the contest.

Saturday's contest against Hofstra will mark the 61st meeting between the schools with the Pride holding a 33-27 advantage in the series, including a victory earlier this month in Hempstead.

2. THANK YOU, SENIORS

Prior to Saturday's game against Hofstra, the Huskies will honor its 2026 Senior Class for their dedication to the men's basketball program and the Northeastern community: Youri Fritz, Josh Miller (manager) and Vinny Lam (manager).

Fritz has played in 42 games for Northeastern over the last two seasons and 84 in his career. Despite missing time with an injury earlier in the year, he's either set or tied career-highs in nearly every statistical category as a senior in 2025-26. Averaging 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, he's reached double figures nine times in 18 games, highlighted by a career-high 21 points on two occasions. A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, he serves on the Health and Wellness Committee which promotes holistic well-being, and made history last year by becoming the first men's basketball student-athlete to represent Northeastern at the annual CAA SAAC Conference.

3. MIXING AND MATCHING

As a result of Northeastern's injury woes this season, the Huskies have utilized 12 different starting lineups, tops in the CAA and among the most in Division I: Charleston Southern (22), Milwaukee (18), La Salle (18), San Diego (16), Northeastern (12), USC (12), Alabama (12).
