Northeastern Wraps Up Competition At CAA Indoor Championships

BOSTON— The Northeastern men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition at the 2026 CAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday. Originally slated for two full days of competition, the championship was conducted in one day at The TRACK at New Balance due to incoming inclement weather in the Boston area.

The Huskies claimed nineteen medals throughout the competition. The men's team placed second out of eight teams and the women earned a fifth place finish out of twelve teams.

MULTI EVENTS

Aiden Ray (3338 points) and Carter Engelman (3275 points) finished in fifth and sixth place, respectively, in the men's pentathlon.
In the women's pentathlon, Jaice Dorsey earned a third-place finish with 3,579 points.

FIELD EVENTS

Logan Alfandari took home bronze in the weight throw with a mark of 17.86m.
Liangie Calderon placed fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 17.61m.
In the pole vault, Carter Engelman captured bronze with a 4.71m mark. Max Zuckerman, Alexander Yuen and Nathan Epstein all tied for fifth-place with a mark of 4.51m.
Camryn Cole made the podium in the long jump, earning silver with a mark of 6.04m.
Coming in third-place in the pole vault with a 3.95m mark was Katie Rodriguez.
Leila Curtis threw a mark of 15.02m in the shot put to earn a silver medal.

TRACK EVENTS

Kicking off the Huskies with silver, Jaice Dorsey posted a second-place finish in the 60mH with a time of 8.48. Her time ties Nikiya Reid's Northeastern school record which has stood since 1999.
Savannah Blair then broke her own school record with a time of 7.41 to place second in the 60m. She took home her second medal with a third-place finish in the 200m in a time of 23.89.
Winning the first gold of the day for the Huskies, Kyle Sarney took home a win in the mile with a time of 4:06.92.
The Huskies claimed bronze in the men's and women's 800m. Brady Danyluk posted a time of 1:51.99, while Lola Satre Morales had a time of 2:08.85.
NU had a strong showing for the men in the 3000m. Ryan Slaney took home bronze (8:10.16), Nico Boyle placed fourth (8:11.60) and Ryan Sarney claimed fifth (8:11.99).
Two Huskies podiumed in the men's 5000m. Ryan Slaney earned silver (14:23.94) and Nico Boyle took home bronze (14:24.00)
In the 4x800 relay, Ajay Raina, James Ciaccio, Jacob Redman and Brady Danyluk combined efforts to earn a silver medal (7:34.11). The women took home a silver in the 4x800 relay as well, with Stephanie Kriss, Emily McCann, Lauren Trejo and Waverly Hassman running a 8:59.28.
Championing the DMR was Jack Mattingly, Bryan Schaeffer, Dawson French and Kyle Sarney (10:07.77).
The 4x400 relay team of Raymond Felton, Taeshawn Berry, Bryan Schaeffer and Brunner Williams earned a bronze with a time of 3:15.29.
