Northeastern Announces 2026 Men's Rowing Schedule

BOSTON – Northeastern men's rowing head coach Alex Perkins unveiled the program's 2026 schedule on Friday. The regular season campaign includes four dual cup races, highlighted by three at home on the Charles River, as well as the IRA Invitational in Sarasota, Florida.

The Huskies kick off the slate on March 21 with the Burk Cup at Penn on the Cooper River. Northeastern has won six of the last seven meetings and owns a 29-23 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1970.

The following week NU will travel to Sarasota for the IRA Invitational at Nathan Benderson Park for two days of competition against some of the top crews in the nation in Harvard, Yale, Washington, Stanford and Brown.

Northeastern then returns home for three straight races on the Charles River, beginning with the Arlett Cup against Boston University on April 4. The Huskies hold a 35-17 lead in the all-time series, including seven straight victories and highlighted by shattering the Cup time record by 6.2 seconds in 2025.

The Dreissigacker Cup is next on the slate on April 25 against Brown before the Huskies and Harvard square off for the Smith Cup on Tuesday, April 28.

Postseason action gets underway with the Eastern Sprints on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester on Sunday, May 17 before Northeastern travels to Gold River, Calif. for the IRA Championships later that month.
