BOSTON – The Northeastern track and field team competed at the River Hawk Invite as well as the ECAC/IC4A Championships, highlighted by Brunner Williams first place in the 60m dash and freshman Iolo Grant championing the 60m hurdles.
ECAC/IC4A Championships
- In the pentathlon, sophomore Elena Olson took second place in the 60m hurdles and sixth place in the 800m. Sophomore Madison Phillips took fifth in the shot put and seventh in the high jump. The third Husky participating in the pentathlon, sophomore Genevieve Duchaussee earned second in the shot put.
- Junior Waverly Hassman took seventh place in the 800m with a time of 2:10.35, followed by freshman Lola Satre-Morales in tenth place.
- In the men's pole vault, freshman Carter Engelman earned a podium finish at second with a 4.80m mark. Freshman Nathan Epstein took eighth place with 4.55m and sophomore Alex Yuen was right behind him in ninth.
- In the women's pole vault, junior Katie Rodriguez leapt to fifth place with a 3.66m mark. Junior Hannah Shaw was close behind in ninth place and a mark of 3.56m.
River Hawk Invite
- Junior Brunner Williams captured first place in the 60m dash finals with a time of 6.79, while sophomore Taeshawn Berry placed third in 6.82 and freshman Raymond Felton III finished sixth in 6.93.
- Williams added a runner-up finish in the 200m dash invite in 21.13, with Berry taking third in 21.47 and freshman Daeshaun Cole placing sixth in 21.60.
- Cole also earned third place in the 400m dash invite with a 47.75 performance.
- In the 60m hurdles finals, freshman Iolo Grant won the event in 7.86 and freshman Aiden Ray secured fifth in 8.30.
- The Huskies' top distance finish came from junior Ryan Gruczka, who placed seventh in the 3000m run with a time of 8:28.91.
The Huskies will continue competing in the ECAC/IC4A Championships tomorrow, Feb. 7.
