BROOKLINE, Mass. -- Bouncing back from Saturday's afternoon shutout against Maine (9-23), the Northeastern Huskies (20-15) closed out the weekend with a 13-5 victory over the Maine Black Bears on Sunday afternoon at Friedman Diamond, going 3-1 on the weekend against the Black Bears and Merrimack. Harrison Feinberg hit three home runs -- the first time a Husky has accomplished that feat since May 7, 2024 -- and Matthew Sapienza earned the win in relief to improve to 1-3 on the season. Northeastern moves to 20-15 overall and 11-5 in CAA play.

- DiGiorgio singled to left center, stole second on a wild pitch, and Charlie Criscola singled to push him to third. Feinberg then crushed a three-run home run to left center, his second of the game, to make it 8-4. Matt Brinker doubled to deep left, then Aschettino singled to score him. On Aschettino's third steal attempt of the game, he got in safely but then was able to score from second on a throwing error on the play, to cap the inning and push the lead to 10-4.
- Maine added a solo home run in the seventh to make it 10-5 before Northeastern responded with three more in the bottom half. Bentley led off with his first career home run to left center, and Feinberg followed shortly after with a two-run shot to deep right, his third homer of the day, scoring DiGiorgio who had singled and stolen second.

He left the game with a 4-2 lead before Maine tied it up.
