GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Northeastern Huskies (23-16, 13-5 CAA) completed the sweep of North Carolina A&T (10-28, 3-15 CAA) with a 15-5 victory on Sunday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium, marking the first series win in program history at The War. Ryan Griffin improved to 6-0 on the season with six innings of work, while Charlie Criscola, Tyler Harmony, Harrison Feinberg, and Cooper Tarantino all had multi-hit days as the Huskies exploded for 14 hits and scored in five different innings.
- North Carolina A&T scored first in the second on a sacrifice fly, but Northeastern answered with a six-run third. Henry DiGiorgio walked and Harmony singled up the middle before Feinberg drove in the first run with a single through the right side. Gerety walked to load the bases, and Brinker delivered a three-run double to left center. Carmelo Musacchia was hit by pitch, and Criscola capped the inning with a two-run triple down the right field line to give the Huskies a 6-1 lead.
- Harmony hit his second home run in as many days in the fifth, a three-run shot to right field with Criscola and Cooper Tarantino aboard, to push the lead to 11-1. Gerety added an RBI on a wild pitch later in the frame, making it 12-1 after five.
- Tarantino led off the seventh with a solo homer to right field, his third of the season, to restore a nine-run cushion at 13-4 after North Carolina A&T had pulled within eight on a three-run homer in the sixth.
- Northeastern added two more in the ninth on an RBI single by DiGiorgio and a run scored on a double play groundout by Harmony to account for the final 15-5 margin.
- Griffin (6-0) earned the win, working six innings and allowing four runs on five hits while walking one and striking out three. He induced 10 ground ball outs and threw 81 pitches.
- Andrew Rogovic, Andrew Wertz, each threw a scoreless inning in relief while Matthew Sapienza closed out the game allowing just one NC A&T run on an RBI ground out.
- Northeastern stole four bases on the afternoon and drew five walks. The Huskies outscored North Carolina A&T 42-10 across the three-game sweep, their first series win at World War Memorial Stadium in the all-time series.
