BOSTON — The Northeastern men's hockey program will welcome four transfers ahead of the 2026-27 season in junior Joel Kjellberg, sophomore Miguel Marques, sophomore Charlie Pardue and senior Alex Pineau.
Kjellberg arrives at Northeastern from Arizona State, where he skated in all 36 games in 2025-26, tallying a career-high 11 points on nine assists and a career-high two goals. The defenseman ranked fifth in the NCHC with 60 blocks and scored his first career goal in a 4-3 overtime win over Ohio State. A two-time NCHC Academic All-Conference Team honoree, Kjellberg played junior hockey with the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders.
Marques comes to Huntington Avenue after a standout rookie season, tallying 23 points on ten goals and 13 assists in 33 games — all ranking in the top four at Maine. The forward added 49 shots, two power-play tallies and one game-winning goal and earned Hockey East Rookie of the Week honors on Nov. 17. Marques was selected 87th overall by the Nashville Predators in the 2024 NHL Draft and played junior hockey with the WHL's Lethbridge Hurricanes.
Pardue comes to Northeastern after spending the 2025-26 season at Notre Dame. The forward brings a strong USA Hockey pedigree to Huntington Avenue, having competed with National Team Development Program, posting 31 goals and 28 assists across two seasons. He served as captain of the U17 NTDP squad and won gold with Team USA at the U17 World Challenge. Prior to Notre Dame, the sophomore played in 41 games with the Chicago Steel and Tri-City Storm of the USHL during the 2024-25 season.
Pineau joins the Huskies from Brown University, where he served as co-captain during the 2025-26 season. The defenseman appeared in all 31 games for the Bears, recording nine points on one goal and eight assists. Pineau ranked second in the ECAC with 58 blocks and is a two-time Second Team All-Ivy selection. He was also a 2025 finalist for the ECAC Best Defensive Defenseman award. Prior to Brown, Pineau played junior hockey with the Des Moines Buccaneers.
