Women's Basketball Announces Three New Signings For 2026-27

BOSTON -- Northeastern women's basketball head coach Priscilla Edwards-Lloyd is pleased to announce the addition of three transfers to the roster for the 2026-27 season.

"We are incredibly excited to welcome these three tremendous ladies to the program," says Edwards-Lloyd. "They check the boxes of being winners, scholars, and leaders and we can't wait for them to suit up this season!"
 

Summer Bostock – Guard, 6'1, Toronto, Ontario, Canada (University of Houston)

Bostock comes to Northeastern from the University of Houston, where she spent the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons. The Toronto native appeared in 29 games for the Cougars in the Big 12 Conference, averaging 4.3 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 68.0% from the free throw line. The incoming senior posted a career-high 12 points against UCF and recorded a career-high seven rebounds against Arizona State. Bostock also has international experience, having represented Team Canada at the 2021 FIBA Under-16 Women's Americas Championship, where she averaged 7.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. Prior to Houston, she spent her freshman year at Maryland, where she was part of the Terrapins' Elite Eight squad and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.

Coach Edwards-Lloyd on Bostock: "Summer is a player who brings valuable playing experience. She has played and impacted at the highest levels. She is a perimeter threat who will stretch the floor for us."
 

Amanda Smith – Guard, 5'8, Brooklyn, N.Y. (East Carolina University)

Smith comes to Northeastern from East Carolina University, where she spent the 2025-26 season with the Pirates in the American Athletic Conference. The Brooklyn native saw action in two games for ECU, recording two assists, one rebound and one steal in her collegiate debut. Smith brings a decorated prep background to the program, earning AA All-NEPSAC honors as a senior at the Darrow School and capturing the 2024 Borough, City and State Championships. Smith also carries notable basketball lineage, as her uncle, Jamaal Tinsley, is a former NBA player.

Coach Edwards-Lloyd on Smith: "Amanda is a tough, crafty, NYC point guard who brings dynamic playmaking to our roster. She comes in having experienced a championship culture, and will provide depth at our point guard position."
 

Anja Bukvic – Guard, 5'10, Belgrade, Serbia (University of Idaho)

Bukvic comes to Northeastern from the University of Idaho, where she competed for two seasons for the Vandals in the Big Sky Conference. The Belgrade native played in and started all 30 games during the 2024-25 season, averaging 22.7 minutes per game and finishing the year with 6.4 points per game and 3.9 rebounds per game. The incoming senior posted a career-high 24 points against Montana Tech, including going 6-of-11 from three-point range in that contest, and scored in double figures six times during the season. Prior to Idaho, Bukvic spent two seasons at Louisiana Tech, where she appeared in 29 games in the 2023-24 season and set a prior career-high of 18 points at New Mexico State.

Coach Edwards-Lloyd on Bukvic: "Anja is a veteran guard who also has a championship pedigree. A scorer and playmaker, Anja will bring experience to our backcourt."
