Northeastern Welcomes Eight Newcomers To 2026-27 Roster

BOSTON – Northeastern men's basketball coach Bill Coen announced the addition of eight student-athletes to his 2026-27 roster on Monday. The group includes four transfers (Louis Bond (Idaho State), Dorian Grosber (High Point), Jovan Icitovic (Arizona State), Brayden Young (Loyola)) and four freshmen (Sage BaptisteJosh Goodwin, Danny Houlihan, Damian Jung).

Played two seasons at Tabor Academy, earning All-ISL honors as a junior and senior as well as All-NEPSAC accolades in 2025-26. Also played two seasons at Bishop Stang and on the AAU circuit with Team Sims, earning Second Team All-UA Rise honors in back-to-back seasons.

Appeared in 24 games at Idaho State in 2025-26, including two starts. He averaged 4.9 points, 1.9 rebounds per game and shot 45% from the field and 85% from the free throw line. Bond finished the season with 118 points, including a season-high 19 points on 5-of-7 shooting in 18 minutes off the bench against UC Davis on Dec. 21, 2025, and recorded his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Portland St. in the Big Sky Second Round.

Played four seasons at Cypress Ranch High School, where he averaged 22.5 points per game in 35 games as a senior in 2025-26. He also averaged 6.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 58% overall, 36% from three and 80% from the line en route to District 16 Player of the Year honors in 2026. Goodwin also collected Texas All-Region First Team and 6A Texas UIL All-State in 2026 while helping Cypress Ranch reach the 6A Texas Regional Finals. Also had offers from TCU, Texas A&M and Sam Houston.

Redshirted the 2025-26 season at High Point and has played for the Luxembourg National Team from 2023 to 2026.  At the FIBA U20 Eurobasket 2026, Division B, he averaged 9.7 points per game, 8.2 rebounds per game and shot 39% from three in six games, including four games in double figures and two double doubles against Georgia (13 points, 14 rebounds) and Estonia (10 points, 13 rebounds). He also averaged 3.8 assists per game during the tournament, including a high of seven against Switzerland. Grosber played in Germany for two seasons with ALBA Berlin (2022-23) and SSV Locomotive Bernau, ProB (2023-24).

Played for New Tier High School, where he averaged 17 points and four rebounds per game as a senior, shooting 48% overall and 43% from three. He broke his own school record for threes made in a season with 95 in 2025-26 while reaching the 1000 career points plateau. He was named to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State Team as well as the Pontiac All-Tournament Team.
 
Jovan Icitovic  |  Freshman  |  Forward  |  6-8  |  205  |  Belgrade, Serbia  |  KK Real Beograd  |  Arizona State (Big 12)
Redshirted the 2025-26 season at Arizona State, and played for KK Real Beograd in the Serbian JLS league. He averaged 12.7 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting over 40% from three-point range, and also reached double figures in 17 of 20 total games, including each of his last 14.
 
Damian Jung  |  Freshman  |  Forward  |  6-10  |  210  |  Bad Kreuznach, Germany  |  Eastern High School
Played at Stafford High School and Eastern High School, where he was a three-year starter before earning First Team All-District honors in 2025. He also represented Germany at the FIBA U20 Eurobasket 2026 in Slovenia, where he averaged 2.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in seven games, going 5-of-8 from the floor.
 
Brayden Young  |  Sophomore  |  Forward  |  6-10  |  215  |  Houston, Texas  |  Cypress Falls | Loyola
Played in 12 games off the bench at Loyola in 2025-26, including a season-high 10 minutes and first career points at George Washington on Jan. 10, 2026 and tallied two rebounds four times. Before college, Young was a letterwinner out of Cypress Falls in Houston, Texas where he helped the team to a 26-5 overall record and District Title as a senior. He was named a 2023-24 First Team All-District 16-6A selection as a senior after averaging 12 points per game, 7.3 rebounds per game, 1.6 blocks per game, and 1.0 assists per game.
