Teplow Garners CAA Defensive Player Of The Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va.— For the second-straight week, senior goalkeeper Eliza Teplow of the Northeastern women's soccer team has been named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, as announced on Monday.

Teplow posted back-to-back shutouts for the Huskies, tallying 10 saves over two games. She has not allowed a goal this season in four-straight shutouts and is riding a 485-minute shutout streak dating back to last year. The senior captain posted three saves in a 0-0 draw at Rhode Island and followed it up with a seven-save performance at home against Providence.

Teplow is one of three goalies nationally to record four clean sheets entering the third week of action, joined by Long Beach State's Aurora Schuck and Saint Mary's Soraya Souvanaphong. However, Teplow has compiled more saves (23) in her four shutouts than Schuck (11) and Souvanaphong (8) combined.

Teplow and the Huskies are back in action hosting Yale on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 6 p.m.
