BOSTON, Mass. - The Northeastern cross country program is set to begin its season Friday, Sept. 5 at the Friar Invitational hosted by Providence College at the Highland Park Course in Attleboro, Mass. The women's 4K is set to begin at 4:30, as the men's 6K starts at 5:15.
COURSE/PARKING DETAILS: Parking is completely free for this event. You cannot park at the condominium complex across the street. Overflow parking is allowed at 104 Mechanic Street and 95 Rathbun Willard Drive, both in Attleboro.

NEW DAWGS ON CAMPUS: The Huskies welcomed two male runners, graduate student Hayden Kuhn and freshman Landon Sarney. Sarney will be running on Friday. There are four new female runners, freshmen Sienna Audrey and Evelin Pires, and graduate students Molly Latincsics and Meghan Rentner. All four will be competing on Friday.

COMPETITORS: Northeastern will be running against Brown, Boston University, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Providence, and Yale.

COURSE DETAILS: Northeastern is no stranger to the Highland Park Course, as the men's won the Friar Invitational and the women's won the Suffolk Short Course Classic at Highland Park last year. The course is named in honor of Mark Coogan, an Attleboro native, retired U.S. Olympic marathoner, and track and field coach.
After Friday's race, Northeastern will be back in action on Saturday, Sept. 19 as they travel to Dartmouth to compete in the Maribel Sanchez Invitational in Hanover, N.H.
