ATTLEBORO, Mass. - The Northeastern cross country team competed in the Friar Invitational on Friday. The women's team placed fourth with 111 points as the men's placed seventh with 172 points. 

MEN 

• Senior Ryan Sarney led the men's team eighth at a time of 18:24.2, 1.6 seconds before the next finisher 

• Senior Ryan Gruczka finished second for the huskies and 33rd with a time of 18:54.4 

• Junior Nico Boyle finished third for the Huskies and 36th with a time of 18:59.2 

• Sophomore Owen Blaisdell finished 54th and fourth for the Huskies with a time of  

WOMEN 

• Grad student Molly Latincsics led the women's team placing eighth with a time of 14:27.6 

• Sophomore Kirsten Melnik finished 15th and second for the Huskies with a time of 14:45.9. 

• Grad student Megan Rentner placed 21st with a time of 14:51.4, .1 in front of 22nd.  

• Senior Natasha Sortland placed 31st with a time of 15:02.5 

Cross country returns to action on Saturday, Sept.19 at the Maribel Sanchez Invitational hosted by Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.
