Nicole Stock has joined the Northeastern University women's ice hockey staff as an assistant coach for the 2009-10 season. She will assist co-head coaches Linda Lundrigan and Lauren McAuliffe as Northeastern head coach Dave Flint attends to his duties as an assistant coach with the U.S. National Team at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Stock captained the Brown University women's ice hockey team as a goaltender last season and served as assistant captain in 2007-08. She earned second-team All-Ivy honors the past two seasons and broke the school record for saves in a single game, season and career. Stock was also named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team and Academic All-Ivy team in 2007-08 and 2008-09.

The Buffalo Grove, Ill., native has previous coaching experience in the Providence Youth Lacrosse League as an U-9 coach between 2006-09. Stock also served as a sports management intern for Global Athletic Management Enterprises in 2008 and volunteered as a part-time goalie coach for the Rhode Island Xpress hockey team over the last four years.

Stock graduated from Brown in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in political science.
