The eighth-ranked Huskies lost to No. 9 Michigan, 3-0, on Sunday at Ocker Field in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The loss was NU's second of the season, bringing NU's record to 7-2. Northeastern is 0-7 all-time against Michigan, which now owns a 5-3 record for the season.
Husky goalie Diana Nelson had a very strong game, making six saves (five in the first half, one in the second) for a .667 save-percentage. She held Michigan to a 2-0 lead at halftime, but NU couldn't manage a second-half comeback as the Blue added one more and prevailed, 3-0.
Northeastern led Michigan, 9-4 in penalty corners, but Michigan led the shot count, 18-11.
The Huskies kick off their America East schedule next Sunday with a face-off against New Hampshire at Sweeney Field.
