Northeastern completed competition in the Redwood Shores Rowing Classic with a resounding eight-length win over Orange Coast College Sunday afternoon.

Battling stiff head winds, the Huskies covered the 2000 meter Redwood Lagoon course in 6:00.3 to Orange Coast's 6:23.7.

NU sprinted out to a one-length lead at the settle and increased its lead to two lengths at the 500-meter mark. At 1000 meters, the Huskies led by four lengths, and at 1500 meters, their lead was six lengths.

The Huskies next race will be on the Charles River Saturday, April 11 as they take on Boston University in the Arlett Cup. The varsity race will begin at 9:24 a.m.
