Sophomore diver Rachael Peterson has qualified for the NCAA Zone A championships after her winning 1-meter dive netted her a score of 270.37 against Vermont Saturday, Jan. 23. Peterson also took the 3-meter title as well with a score of 246.90.

At the NCAA Zone championships, Peterson will also be allowed to participate in the 3-meter and platform dives, in addition to the 1-meter.

Peterson has had a successful 2009-10 campaign for the Huskies, taking individual honors five times. Including her two wins against Vermont, Peterson emerged victorious in the 3-meter (227.31) against Massachusetts, the 3-meter (235.35) against Boston College, and the 1-meter (212.50) in the season-opening tri-meet against Central Connecticut State and Maine.

The NCAA Zone A Championships will be held March 12-14 at Rutgers.
