Nicole Fox comes to Northeastern having spent the last two years at the North American Hockey Academy.
The 5'8 forward from Ellington, Conn. won the Junior Women's Hockey League Challenge Cup in 2009 as part of the NAHA. However, much of her success came before her time with the NAHA.
Fox spent four years with the Connecticut Polar Bears (2004-08). During that time she served as captain and the team won five straight state and regional championships. She was also a silver medalist at the USA Hockey National Championship in 2008, and a bronze medalist in 2004 and 2006 in the same tournament.
“Nicole is a power forward who is great down low around the net and should provide us with some goal scoring,” head coach
Dave Flint said.
Fox also played seven years of softball, captaining six of those seasons. She also played one season of varsity lacrosse in 2010, earning a Best Defensive Player award.
Fox joins the class of 2015 and hopes to embark on a career in sports marketing.
