THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. FLINT-STONES: Head coach Dave Flint was announced as a finalist for the 2025-26 CCM/AHCA National Coach of the Year award. Flint is in his 17th season with the Huskies and has led Northeastern to all eight of its NCAA tournament appearances. He is the all-time winningest coach in program history with 397 wins.
  2. KNOW YOUR HISTORY: The Huskies are headed to their fourth Frozen Four in program history and first since 2023 after traveling to defeat fourth-seeded Minnesota, 4-2. The Huskies are 5-6-0 all-time in the NCAA Tournament. Against WCHA teams, NU is 3-3-0 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.  NU has made one NCAA Championship game appearance, falling to Wisconsin, 2-1, in overtime in 2021.
  3. READY TO GO NUTS: The fifth-seeded Huskies and top-seeded Buckeyes are set to meet for the second time in the Frozen Four. Ohio State defeated Northeastern 3-0 at the Frozen Four in 2023. This marks the 14th meeting in program history for the two teams, but just the second meeting since after 2006 season and second neutral site matchup. Ohio State defeated Yale 6-1 to advance to its sixth-straight Frozen Four. The Buckeyes sit at 35-4-0 on the season, including a 4-0-0 record in neutral site games. Hilda Svensson leads the Buckeyes with 50 points on the season, second-most in the nation among all freshmen. Joy Dunne, a Patty Kazmaier Top-10 Finalist, sits second on OSU with 48 points. In goal, Hailey MacLeod has started 28 games for the Buckeyes, she owns a 1.48 goals against average and .932 save percentage.

The winner will face the victor of No. 2 Wisconsin vs. No. 3 Penn State in the National Championship game on Sunday, March 22 at 4 p.m. The title game will air live on ESPNU.
