Northeastern concludes fall schedule at NCAA Regionals

Results

Three Huskies represented the Northeastern women's cross country team at the 2011 NCAA Regional Championship on Saturday (Audubon Golf Course) hosted by the University at Buffalo.

Senior Meegan Joly, rookie Mara Scallon and sophomore Lauren Wardwell donned the red and black for Saturday's 6K test with Joly turning in the Huskies' top time.

Joly buzzed through the course with a time of 24:15.0 for 176th while Scallon crossed in 25:16.5 for 214th in her first-career NCAA event. Sophomore Lauren Wardwell finished up NU's efforts with a time of 25:28.6 for 219th.

Syracuse ran away with Saturday's team score with an aggregate time of 106:43.2, besting runner-up Boston College by almost 45 seconds.

Northeastern concludes its fall cross country season and will open the indoor track & field season on Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Reggie Lewis Track & Field Center when the Huskies host the third annual Jay Carisella Track & Field Invitational.
