The Northeastern men's soccer team returns home to Parsons Field this weekend for the final home game of the regular season against George Mason on Saturday at 6 p.m. A win would give NU a first-round bye in the CAA Tournament.

Last time out
NU extended its unbeaten streak to 11 games on Wednesday with a 2-2 draw at Towson (4-9-2, 2-5-2) in a back-and-forth battle at the Tiger Soccer Complex. Don Anding and Simon Cox scored goals for the Huskies

Playoff scenarios
NU has already secured a berth into the CAA Tournament for the second straight season, and sixth time in the past seven seasons. A win on Saturday would give Northeastern a bye into the league semifinal game on Nov. 8th or 9th.

The Huskies can also clinch the No. 1 seed and host the CAA Tournament depending on the outcome of the final week of league play.

Thank you Seniors
Prior to Saturday's match, NU will honor its five seniors for their dedication to the men's soccer program and the Northeastern community.

During their careers on Huntington Ave., these student-athletes have led the Huskies to a 36-24-10 record, three trips to the CAA Tournament and one appearance in the conference title game. In addition, they have all played vital roles in NU's record breaking season in 2012, which has seen the Huskies set the program record for longest unbeaten streak and tie the record for longest winning streak.

Don Anding has rewritten the NU record book in 2012 with 28 points (11 goals, six assists). He is third on the NU record list for career goals (22) and fifth in career points (55). His 28 points are the most for a NU player since 2002.

Oliver Blum has had one of the most successful seasons for a goalkeeper in program history. He leads the CAA in goals against average (0.68) and is second in save percentage (.809). His 10 wins this season are the most for any NU keeper since 2003.

Andre Ciliotta is playing in his 65th career match today, and has 23 points (seven goals, nine assists) in his four years at NU.

Eric Dyer has played in 25 career games, and scored his first career point with an assist on Nov. 1, 2008.

Eddie Nam has played in 15 career games, and recently returned to the active roster after battling injuries this season.

The series with George Mason
NU is 2-6-2 all-time against the Patriots, and has not defeated Mason since 2009. George Mason defeated the Huskies 4-1 last season.

Scouting the Patriots
George Mason visits the Huskies at Parsons coming off of a 2-0 win over Delaware. Senior and sophomore forwards Morgan Taylor and Timi Mulgrew lead the pride with 26 and 19 points this season. Taylor leads in goals, with 13, while Mulgrew leads the team in assists with five.

Redshirt senior Dustin Butcher has spent all but 45 minutes in goal for the Patriots, compiling a 0.94 goals against average and .706 save percentage, along with seven shutouts, the last coming just recently against Delaware.

Anding having a season to remember
In 15 matches this season, senior forward Don Anding has exceeded his point production from his first three years with NU. The Amity Harbor, N.Y. has 28 points this season, the first Husky since 2002 to do so, including a four-point week last week to earn CAA Player of the Week honors.

Anding leads the CAA in points, and is second in goals, assists and game-winning goals. He has a point in eight of his last nine matches, is third on the NU record list for career goals (22), and tied for fifth in career points (55).

Huskies in the polls
Northeastern is currently the first team receiving votes in the NSCAA/Continental Tire National Poll. In addition, NU is now ranked 27th in this week's College Soccer News Top 30 National Poll and 33rd in TopDrawerSoccer.com's Top 48.

The road ahead
NU heads back out on the road to close out the regular season on Wednesday at No. 15 Old Dominion at 7 p.m. with final CAA points up for grabs.
