Myeisha Hall cut it to within eight points for the Lady Monarchs with a deep ball at 10:32, but Conroy and Tunstull made it a double-digit affair with consecutive lay-ins to make it 23-11 at the 9:00-minute mark of the first half.
Becca Allison's two free throws were offset by another Tunstull bucket to keep the Huskies ahead by 13, 29-16, with 6:26 remaining. Iervolino connected on her third field goal from beyond the arc to make it 32-19. Both teams traded possessions before Tiffany Minor made it a seven-point game with a 3-pointer at 2:53, but Kerkhof erased ODU's comeback with a deep ball of her own to make it 35-25.

Shakeva Richards finally drew the Lady Monarchs even for the first time since early in the first half with a mid-range jumper at 9:03 to make it 53-53, but Huber carved through the lane on the next possession and scored. Tunstull's bucket triggered a 10-point spurt that gave the Huskies a sizable advantage, 67-57, before Hall stopped the bleeding at 3:16. Kerkhof and Huber both fired from deep to help separate Northeastern from ODU during the run.
Old Dominion trimmed the lead to eight twice, but went 7-of-8 from the charity stripe with 50 seconds left to seal the 78-66 triumph.
