The Northeastern mens track & field team sent nine members to one of the country's best meets in the NCAA on Friday and Saturday as the Huskies posted some strong marks at the Raleigh Relays hosted by North Carolina State at Paul Derr Track.

Sophomore Christopher Reider registered a record-breaking throw on Saturday, logging Northeastern's fifth-best javelin throw distance in school history. The second-year javelin thrower finished in fifth place in a field of 30 with a pitch of 61.03m (200'3). It was NU's best mark in the javelin since Adam Grossman cleared 212'1 on May 11, 2002. The Huskies' dominance in the field did not stop there as senior Patrick Jablonski continued his fantastic final season. The Deerfield, Mass. native finished sixth and seventh, respectively, in the shot put and discus throw. Jablonski outperformed 39 others with a heave of 16.47m (54'0.5) in the shot put followed by a toss of 50.49m (165'8) in the discus throw which was better than 49 other competitors. Junior Mark Mastone competed in the same events and took 22nd in the shot put (13.98m - 45'10.50) and 42nd place in the discus throw (35.07m - 115'1).

Sophomore Max Milder also turned in a big showing in the hammer throw, capturing fourth place in a field of 37. Milder's toss of 56.36m (184'11) is a season best thus far.

Combi closed out the field portion with a big leap of 7.06m (23'3) in the long jump for seventh place in a field of 25. The freshman also finished 25th in the 110-meter hurdles after a clip of 15.16.

In section I of the 5,000-meter run, sophomore Brian Doyle finished 17th with a time of 14:48.45 while rookie Stephen Sollowin grabbed 22nd in section III with a scamper of 15:23.25. First-year harrier Zachary Fraeilli finished 36th in the 1,500-meter run after crossing in 4:05.43 while classmate Conor Lyons took 94th in the 400-meter dash (51.99).

The Huskies also had three competitors run at the Snowflake Classic at Tufts University on Saturday. The number was limited due to inclement weather in Medford, Mass.

Sophomore Conor Ebbs did not let the cold get to him after throw in three events. Ebbs' best showing was in the discus throw where he beat out 29 others with a toss of 42.24m. In the shot put, Ebbs captured 11th out of 33 (13.10m) and 18th in the hammer throw (34.12).

Dan Brooks grabbed a third-place finish out of 28 in the javelin throw with a clearance of 49.30m. Senior Brian Racca was scheduled to run in the 100-meter dash but did not partake.
