Northeastern named Spring Scholar All-America Team

Following its selection for fall 2011, Northeastern swimming and diving was recognized once again as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association for the 2012 spring semester.

The Scholar All-America Team award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams that have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (winter/spring).

Northeastern swimmers and divers improved their academic performance across the board, from a respectable 3.37 team GPA in the fall to a remarkable 3.53 team GPA in the spring. With the showing, the Huskies finished ranked 11th in the nation and led the way for the rest of the CAA.

The College Swimming Coaches Association is the oldest coaches organization in America. In addition to Scholar All American Awards, the CSCAA recognizes All American Swimmers and Divers at the national championships every year.
