VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Accustomed to being honored for its success in and out of the pool, Northeastern swimming and diving was recognized once again as a Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association for the 2012 fall semester. The Huskies earned the award for the spring semester as well.
The Scholar All-America Team award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams that have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (winter/spring).
Northeastern swimmers and divers continued their academic performance across the board, earning an impressive 3.40 team GPA. With the showing, the Huskies finished ranked 14th in the nation and led the way for the rest of the CAA.
