SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTSThe Catamounts enter the weekend with an 8-4-1 overall record and a 1-2-0 mark in Hockey East. Vermont swept Syracuse last weekend by scores of 6-5 and 5-4 to snap a two-game losing skid. Amanda Pelkey and Dayna Colang each have 15 points to lead the team, while Brittany Zuback owns a team-best 10 goals. Madison Litchfield has played the majority of time in goal and boasts a 2.17 GAA to go along with a .918 save percentage.
COYNE NAMED WHEA PLAYER OF THE WEEKJunior
Kendall Coyne was named the Warrior Player of the Week in Hockey East on Monday after recording eight points in three games last week. On Nov. 11 at No. 6 Boston University, Coyne produced five points on three goals and two assists as the Huskies skated to a 6-3 victory. The Palos Heights, Illinois, native then registered two goals and an assist in Sunday's 6-2 win over Providence to round out the week with five goals and three helpers.Â

(SUPER)POWER-PLAYThe Huskies scored four power-play goals (4-for-5) on Sunday for the first time in 15 years. Northeastern lit the lamp on each of its first four power plays against the Friars, before coming up empty on its fifth opportunity. The four-goal effort on the man-advantage marked the first time NU had scored four on the PP since Oct. 8, 1999 vs. Ohio State (4-for-16).Â
ONE FOR THE SENIORSSenior
Chelsey Goldberg scored her first goal of the year on Sunday vs. Providence, which marked NU's first tally from a senior this season. The senior class has accounted for one goal and five assists so far this season, or seven-percent of the team's total scoring output.
A FIRST FOR FOSSSophomore
Sarah Foss picked up her first collegiate victory on Nov. 16 as the Huskies downed Providence, 6-2. Foss made 19 saves and received an outpouring of offensive support as NU scored six goals for the second time in three games. The North Reading, Massachusetts, native was making her first start of the season Sunday, and the second of her young career.
CONTROLLING THE CATAMOUNTSJunior
Kendall Coyne has recorded exactly four points in each of her three career games vs. Vermont. Coyne has notched two of her five career hat tricks against the Catamounts, and owns 12 points on seven goals and five assists against UVM overall.
