HUSKIES HOST UNION IN TUESDAY TILT
The Northeastern women's hockey team (6-7-3) will close out the fall semester with a Tuesday night tilt against Union at Matthews Arena at 7 p.m. The game marks the second of three straight matchups against ECAC foes (Harvard, Union, Dartmouth) to close out the 2014 calendar year.

SCOUTING UNION
The Dutchwomen enter Tuesday's contest with a 1-10-2 overall record. Union beat Connecticut, 1-0, on Oct. 11 for its lone win, and also played to ties against Penn State (2-2) and Providence (2-2). Kathryn Tomaselli leads the team with six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in 13 games, while Shenae Lundberg owns a 2.90 GAA and  a .921 save percentage in 13 starts. Northeastern assistant coach Nick Carpenito served as an assistant at Union last season and helped the squad to a program-best nine wins in 2013-14.

DUTCH DOMINANCE
Northeastern has never lost to Union in program history, owning a 6-0-0 record all-time vs. the Dutchwomen.  In three prior matchups at Matthews Arena, Northeastern has outscored Union by a 10-3 margin, including a 4-1 win in the teams' last meeting in Boston on Oct. 12, 2012. In that game, Kendall Coyne netted her second career hat trick with three third-period goals to break a 1-1 tie and give NU the 4-1 victory.

STREAKING SCAMURRA
Sophomore Hayley Scamurra is riding a career-best six-game point-streak entering Tuesday's game vs. Union. Scamurra has scored in five of her last six contests and owns eight goals and two assists during her current six-game streak. With nine goals on the season, Scamurra has already surpassed her goal total from all of last season (seven goals in 29 games). Four of Scamurra's nine goals have come on the power play; her four power-play tallies are tied for the seventh-most in the nation and the third-most in Hockey East.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
Northeastern has scored on the power play in five straight games entering Tuesday's tilt with Union. Over that span, the Huskies are 11-for-19 with the man-advantage (58-percent), compared to just 3-for-39 in 11 prior games. Northeastern has seen its power play rise from the No. 33 ranked unit in the nation (7.8-percent) on Nov. 15, to the No. 3 ranked unit in the country (24.1-percent) on Dec. 1.

DYNAMIC DEFENDERS
Defensemen Heather Mottau and Jordan Krause are both riding four-game point-streaks entering Tuesday's contest with Union. Mottau has seven assists in her last four games, while Krause has a goal and six helpers during that span. Krause's nine points this season (two goals, seven assists) have already surpassed her two-season point total with Minnesota-Duluth (two goals, four assists in 70 games).

FRESHMEN HONORED
Freshmen Denisa Krizova and McKenna Brand were honored by Hockey East on Nov. 24 as the Pro Ambitions Co-Rookies of the Week. Brand and Krizova each recorded five points in two games vs. UVM on Nov. 22-23 to lead the Huskies to the weekend sweep. Brand posted three goals and two assists, while Krizova registered two goals and three assists. Northeastern has had four different freshmen earn Rookie of the Week accolades this season; in addition to Brand and Krizova, Taytum Clairmont (Sept. 29) and Ainsley MacMillan (Oct. 20) have also been honored.

MOVING UP THE RANKS
Senior Chloe Desjardins made a season-high 37 saves on Sunday vs. Vermont to earn her 47th career win. Desjardins needs just one more victory to tie Kelly Dyer for fourth place all-time at Northeastern in career wins. Desjardins is 47-30-7 in her NU career with a 2.41 GAA and a .921 save percentage in 84 career games.

FLINT APPROACHING 100 WINS
Head coach Dave Flint enters Tuesday's game with 98 career wins at Northeastern. With two more victories, Flint would become just the third coach in NU program history to reach 100 wins. Don McLeod is the all-time winningest head coach in program history with 210 victories over 11 seasons between 1981-92. Heather Linstad ranks second with 161 wins over eight seasons between 1992-2000.
