Dustin Hunt has been named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Week after earning his first collegiate win against Niagara on Sunday, March 16.
The Andover, Mass., native tossed seven shutout innings and allowed just three hits and a walk while striking out nine in the second collegiate start of his career. The Huskies topped Niagara, 7-0, and swept the Purple Eagles in three games over the weekend.
Hunt holds a 2.70 ERA for the season and has recorded 22 strikeouts in 20 innings. He is the second Husky to earn a CAA weekly award this year.
Chris Carmain was named conference Pitcher of the Week after he threw eight shutout innings in a 7-2 win over St. Bonaventure on March 2.
